Washington Township Stages Victorian ‘Christmas Carol’

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. — The Washington Township Public Library will present “A Christmas Carol” the way Charles Dickens did back in Victorian England.

The English author used to travel the world, performing his own one-man reading of the classic tale.

Traveling Literary Theater™ will stage the same authentic reading 2 p.m. Dec. 11.

The production will feature three costumed professional actors.

The famed main character of “A Christmas Carol” is Ebenezer Scrooge, the miserly businessman who finds the meaning of Christmas.
